ABOUT NIRMA MADHOO
Nirma Madhoo (she/her) is a fashion filmmaker and XR creator. She holds a MTech: Fashion and a MA: Fashion Photography from London College of Fashion. Nirma’s projects are interdisciplinary, and her practice-based PhD research at RMIT University explores fashioned bodies as performative matter and posthuman performance in virtual and augmented realities. She recently participated in La Biennale di Venezia College Cinema VR and her work has shown internationally in UK, Germany, France, Italy, South Africa, US, Canada and Australia at fashion, film and digital festivals such as Milan Fashion Week, Melbourne Fashion Festival, London Short Film Festival, Berlinale EFM, MUTEK Montréal, SXSW and SIGGRAPH.
